Tanner Kellick lands first-career Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series victory
Kicking off a doubleheader weekend in Mississippi, Tanner Kellick followed the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series to Hattiesburg (Miss.) Speedway on Friday evening and Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Miss.) on Saturday.
With 17 Late Models signed in for night one, Kellick qualified second-quickest and finished fourth in the dash. Starting from outside row two in the 30-lap main event, Tanner made up his way to the front and took the lead on lap 19. Kellick led the final 11 circuits to take home the $2,500 victory over Brandon Carpenter and BJ Robinson.
Kellick wrapped up the weekend with a 14th-place outing on Saturday.
